2023 Sixth Form Essay Competition Winner

Earlier this year, Dr Jacob Lett launched the second annual NTC Sixth Form Essay Competition. We are pleased to announce our winner.

First Prize (£100)

De-Andrea Cameron, Joseph Chamberlain College: “Christians have a greater duty to their church than to wider society.” Analyse this statement with reference to biblical and ethical ideas.

In marking the essays, judges considered the overall quality of the response, the ideas presented, and students’ engagement with scholarship. The real strength of De-Andrea’s winning essay was a well-reasoned argument, excellent citation, and presenting an argument in a mature and coherent manner.

Dr Lett comments, “We continue to be impressed by the academic potential of the young leaders and scholars who submitted essays, and we look forward to another robust competition next year.”
