We’re delighted to announce the outstanding achievements of Nazarene Theological College’s very own Dr. Thomas A. Noble and our partners at the Manchester Wesley Research Centre (MWRC) during the recent 59th Annual Meeting of the Wesleyan Theological Society.
The Wesleyan Theological Society (WTS) is a prestigious forum dedicated to the scholarly exploration of Wesleyan theology. This year’s meeting, hosted by Trevecca Nazarene University, welcomed theologians, pastors, and researchers from across the globe to engage with a diverse range of Wesleyan thought and practice.
Dr. Thomas A. Noble, a respected scholar at Nazarene Theological College and affiliated with the MWRC, received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the WTS. This award recognises Dr. Noble’s remarkable contributions to Wesleyan scholarship and his lifelong commitment to theological education in the Wesleyan tradition.
Additionally, two members of the MWRC, Dr. David Bundy and Dr. Geordan Hammond, were honoured with a co-recipient Smith/Wynkoop Book Award for their collaborative work, Holiness and Pentecostal Movements. This book, co-authored with Dr. David Sang-Ehil Han of the Pentecostal Theological Seminary, offers groundbreaking insights into the intersection of Wesleyan holiness and Pentecostalism.

The awards and recognition bestowed upon these scholars highlight the depth and quality of theological work taking place at Nazarene Theological College and through our partnership with the Manchester Wesley Research Centre. We are incredibly proud of the ways in which Nazarene scholars are shaping the Wesleyan theological landscape.
Let us wholeheartedly congratulate Dr. Noble, Dr. Bundy, and Dr. Hammond on their remarkable achievements. We extend our gratitude to the Wesleyan Theological Society for such a stimulating and well-organised conference.
