Course Overview

The Certificate in Theology and Urban Ministry is a university-validated course offered in partnership with Urban Presence for those who wish to combine part-time (two years) theological education with specific preparation for Christian service in an urban setting.

Nazarene Theological College is an approved partner of The University of Manchester, delivering programmes developed by Nazarene Theological College, approved by and leading to an award of the University of Manchester.

Students will receive a minimum of 120 credits while on this course.

Modules & Placements

Foundations of Urban Ministry, Contexts of Mission, Biblical Studies, Christian Theology and Church History, Practical and Social Theology.

The course includes a supervised placement in an urban context.

Entry Requirements

No formal academic entrance qualifications but the Dean must be satisfied that the candidate has the ability to undertake the course. Applicants whose first language is not English need to demonstrate their English proficiency. Undergraduate students need a minimum IELTS score of 6.0, or its equivalent, overall.
