Dr Julie Lunn’s new book published

Nazarene Theological College (NTC) would like to congratulate Revd Julie Lunn for the December 2018 publication of The Theology of Sanctification and Resignation in Charles Wesley’s Hymns¬†published by Routledge.

“This book is the fruit of six years of study for my PhD, and then a further year of adaptation and fresh writing. The book is about the link, particularly found in Charles Wesley’s poetic texts, between the concepts – and experience – of the resignation of the believer to God and the believer’s sanctification through the grace of God. The book is primarily a theological study of Charles’ texts, and the themes which emerge associated with resignation and sanctification; the last chapter however, addresses these concepts in a twenty-first century context.”

It has been important to me to be able to give Charles Wesley more of a voice

“It has been important to me to be able to give Charles Wesley more of a voice, and I am glad that Routledge have given the book a place within the Methodist Study Series.”
