Dr David Bundy
Associate Director, Manchester Wesley Research Centre
In January 2017, David Bundy became Associate Director of the MWRC. Based in Manchester when possible, he supports the Centre’s work and continues his research on early Holiness Movements in the UK.
A specialist in Methodist, Holiness, and Pentecostal history, Dr. Bundy focuses on movements outside North America, along with early Asian and East African Christianities. He has lectured in 44 countries and taught graduate courses in 28. His publications include Keswick (1975, 1983, 2012), Visions of Apostolic Mission (2009), and many scholarly articles.
He has held positions at Asbury Theological Seminary, Christian Theological Seminary, and Fuller Theological Seminary. His academic background includes degrees from Seattle Pacific University, Asbury Theological Seminary, Université Catholique de Louvain, and Uppsala University.
Dr. Bundy has contributed to numerous reference works, including the Anchor Bible Dictionary, Dictionary of Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements, and Encyclopedia of Early Christianity. He has served on boards for organizations such as the European Pentecostal Theological Association and the Wesleyan Theological Society.
