Event — 5th February 2020
Knowing God in Christ
In this course you’ll learn to think theologically through a careful consideration of Christian beliefs about Jesus Christ. You’ll discover that theology is not a list of facts about what you believe, but a whole way of thinking about God and the world. This is a wonderful way to immerse yourself in the heart of your faith, and will give you a deeper understanding and appreciation of how the way we think about Jesus affects the way we live our lives today. Why not consider including this as a part of your local home group programme during the Spring?
Garstang Learning Centre
The Garstang Learning Centre is a partnership with the Free Methodist Church
Pattern of study
Five Monday evenings in Garstang and two Saturdays (at NTC, Manchester) spread across three months.
Each class begins with a taster session on a Monday evening which you can come to free of charge and without committing to the rest of the course. The taster session provides an introduction to the unit but is also aimed to be a stand-alone event for those who are interested in the topic being presented. Why not come as a group and use this as a part of your weekly small group meetings or home groups?
Up to 60 credits of classes taken for credit through the Garstang Learning Centre can contribute to one of the awards you can receive through the College (with the remaining units completed by on-site study in Manchester). Alternatively, you can complete 100 credits through the Learning Centre and gain the internally-validated Christian Service Certificate (100 credits). Please contact the College if you decide that you would like to work towards one of these qualifications.
