Lecture & Latte a great success!

Several months ago in a conversation with the NTC team in Glasgow, the question was asked ‘how do we reach out to youth workers and potential youth workers in Glasgow and the surrounding area’. From this conversation ‘Lecture & Latte’ was born.

‘Lecture & Latte’ provides a critical thinking space, in a community learning environment, where practitioners can come together to engage, ask questions and deepen their knowledge and understanding of Youth and Community Work. It also provides an opportunity for those interested in studying youth work to come and have a taste of what NTC’s Glasgow Learning Centre can offer.

On Monday 18 February the first ‘Lecture & Latte’ was held at The Charter in Parkhead, Glasgow. Practitioners from all areas of youth work came to enjoy a lecture entitled ‘Holding onto our values’ from Helen Gatenby, founder of M13 Youth Project in Manchester.

We are really excited about the potential ‘Lecture & Latte’ has and are looking at new and innovative ways in which we can reach out to youth workers in Scotland.
