Mental Health First Aid (Adult) training course

NTC is offering an online certificated course in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA).

Those who complete the course will be better equipped to support individuals manage their own mental health as well as implement good practice for their own self-care. The course will be delivered by a MHFA qualified instructor and is suitable for your workplace, church setting, community projects, church ministry.

The aim of this course will be to support you to:

  • Learn about mental health and how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue.
  • Develop the skills and knowledge to have effective mental health conversations with those you work with.
  • Learn practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues.
  • Gain confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress.

Course format

This course is a blend of live online training sessions and self-learning activities.

Course times and dates

September 15th and 16th. 1:00pm – 5:00pm

There will also be self learning activities prior to the course starting on the 15th
