Li-Jen Huang MAAT, BA, MA, PhD in Anthropology
Li-Jen is from Taiwan, came to England as a trainee in a Christian Teaching and Discipleship Training Ministry in 2014 and then joined the staff as a Bookings & Reception officer and the ministry/counselling team for 3 years. Li-Jen is married to Chris who also works for NTC as Marketing Coordinator, they moved to Manchester and joined NTC in July 2017.
Being trained as an anthropologist, Li-Jen loves to meet people from all kinds of socio-cultural backgrounds and being inspired by people’s incredible life stories and wisdom. The journey of leaving behind years of research/tutoring/teaching roles and stepping into all sorts of administration roles has been challenging but very special to Li-Jen. The opportunities to “stay behind the scene” and serve people at schools and Christian charities, instead of being seen and served as a researcher and teacher, have transformed and deepened Li-Jen’s understanding of God’s kingdom and God’s calling in her life. Wherever God leads her and whatever God calls her to do, she would offer her best to the Lord daily. After being awarded membership of the Association of Accounting Technician (MAAT) in 2020, Li-Jen is currently doing her ACCA studies and aiming to qualify as a Chartered Accountant in the future.
