Manchester Bible School aims to provide accessible courses equipping people with a deeper knowledge and practical applications of the Bible and theology in a context of fellowship. No previous academic qualifications are required – just a desire to learn. This is a great and affordable way to experience an introduction to further theological education.

Join us as we take a look at how some of the language used in Scripture can help us in our current-day thinking and practices around wellbeing and self-care.
This 5 week course is suitable for those interested in a conversation between the Bible and issues of mental health. You will gain some understanding of how to support positive wellbeing in your communities from a trained Mental Health First Aider through a series of interactive lectures with space for discussion and sharing from lived experience.
Course delivery will be either through videoconferencing* or in person

Lecturer: Mick Kane
Originally from Glasgow, Michael pursued a call to ministry after Jesus saved him from a destructive life of drugs and alcohol in his early twenties. He has an undergraduate degree in Sports Science (Glasgow), a Masters degree in Theology (Manchester) and is a qualified Mental Health First Aid trainer. Michael has a passion for learning and is blessed with a gift of being able to relate to people of different ages, abilities and backgrounds.
