Strategy & Management (for Youth & Community Organisations)

This practical module, led by Jonny Wineberg of Community Futures Trust CIC, explores approaches to management in the third sector, looking at the principles and practices of project management. Students will look at the legal requirements and good practice in establishing and managing voluntary organisations, including charitable status; strategic, action and programme planning; stakeholder analysis; monitoring and evaluation; staff and volunteer management; fundraising and finance and more.

Times and Dates

Every Thursday 1st October to 10th December 2020. All sessions 09:30 to 11:30

Fees

£90 For the joy of learning (Audit- no coursework, just participate in the class).

£360 Including coursework and credit

£225 Taster Unit including coursework and credit

Location Videoconferencing: with up to 3 additional face-to-face optional Zoom tutorial sessions for additional support.

Jonny has worked at a senior management level in the public, private and voluntary sectors. For the last 14 years he has been a Development and Training Consultant for not-for-profit organisations and Visiting Lecturer in Youth Work and Management at Nazarene Theological College.
