Help us twin our toilets!
As Social Justice is on the hearts of the NTC Student Council, we wanted to get involved in something that would really make a difference. That’s why we’re doing some fundraising to twin two of the NTC toilets with two toilet blocks – one in a school block in Zambia, and a second in a refugee block in Bangladesh.
Did you know that 2 billion people don’t have somewhere safe and hygienic to go to the toilet?
Toilet twinning is incredibly important. Did you know that 2 billion people don’t have somewhere safe and hygienic to go to the toilet? Without toilets and clean water, people are vulnerable to sanitation-related illnesses, causing them to miss school or work; girls may drop out of school after starting their periods due to having nowhere to change; and women and girls are prone to attack when having to go to the toilet in the open at night.
Twinning our toilets will help us provide dignity and safety through access to a toilet and hygiene education.
If you would like to help us twin our toilets, there are 2 options available:
Join us as we travel the length of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route*, thats 480 miles, being sponsored £1 a mile. Anyone can take part through taking a run, walk, cycle, skateboard, roller skate, you can do it all at once, or a mile a day for 10 days, whichever you prefer and wherever you prefer.
*We will not be travelling the actual route of the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage.
If you prefer to support the fundraising through only a donation, simply click on the button below.
