Deep, critical, and faithful study of Scripture

Course Overview

This pathway invites students into a deep, critical, and faithful study of Scripture. In close connection to theological thought and diverse ministry settings, the courses and dissertation work in Biblical Studies equip students to research and contextualise the Bible. We offer advanced language courses in Biblical Greek and Biblical Hebrew and facilitate seminar–based learning scenarios that allow students to sharpen their interpretive skills in light of current hermeneutical needs, such as Asian Christianities in the UK or Christian approaches to mental health and trauma.

Classes

You will choose one core class, one pathway class, plus any two electives. You will be required to write your dissertation in the area of Biblical Studies.

You will need to select one core class and one pathway class, in addition to two elective courses. Your dissertation must be written in the field of Biblical Studies.
