Student Finance
Undergrad from England
Undergrad from England
NTC’s certificate, diploma, and BA courses are designated by the Office for Students, making many students eligible for student finance awards from Student Finance England. Full-time students from England can receive tuition and, [for campus-based students,] means-tested maintenance loans. Part-time students are also eligible for pro-rata loans. Prospective undergraduate students should therefore apply to Student Finance England for financial support.
Repayments for the loan start when you begin work and earn over £19,000 per year (Plan 1) or £26,000 per year (Plan 2). For more information, see Student Loan Repayment.
Undergrads from Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales
Undergrads from Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales
Students from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Ireland should contact the relevant funding body:
Scottish students studying in England can apply for a non-income assessed student loan through SAAS to cover part or all of their fees. The loan is repayable after graduation when income reaches £18,330 and increases annually with inflation. Living cost assistance is the same as for students studying in Scotland, but instead of the Young Students’ Bursary, students can apply for the ‘Students Outside of Scotland Bursary’ (up to £2,150 for full-time study).
For personal and specific details, please contact the relevant bodies.
Postgrads from the UK
Postgrads from the UK
NTC’s full- and part-time MA and PhD courses are designated for funding by the Office for Students. Loan funding is not available for PGDiploma, PGCertificate, and MA Open Learning programs (up to 5 years). Loans are currently available for English and Welsh students present in England on the first day of the course.
Eligible students can use the loan for tuition and living costs, and PhD students in England can apply for a PhD loan to cover both. Scottish students may qualify for MA loan funding for selected pathways only.
Postgraduate loan funding is not available for students in Northern Ireland. Please contact relevant bodies for personal details.
