OfS data on continuation, completion, and progression 2025.

This week, we received this year’s OFS continuation, completion and progression report. This report helps us to measure how students progress through their studies and their future career prospects, so we can ensure we’re doing our best as a college to support students and alumni alike.

So without further ado, here are some of our highlights, and a deeper understanding of what different statistics might mean:

For CONTINUATION ( the proportion of students who, one year and 14 days after starting their course, are still studying at the same institution, have successfully received a higher education qualification, or have transferred to study at a different institution) our UG full time indicator is 91.5% (the  requirement is 80%) and our  MA part time indicator is 79.7%  (a threshold of 65% required).

For COMPLETION (students who complete all of their study intentions – generally, ‘graduate’) our overall is 78.1% (a threshold of 75%).

For PROGRESSION (the proportion of graduates who, within 15 months of finishing their course, are in a positive outcome, such as managerial or professional employment or further study), our first degree overall numbers are 85.7% (threshold of 60%).

We’re so pleased to see our students both completing their studies and going on to benefit from exciting opportunities in employment and study. If you’d like to view the report and learn more, you can find the data here.
